synopsis

The Hans van Manen Festival was staged by the Dutch National Ballet to celebrate the work of choreographer Hans van Manen for his 75th birthday, featuring guest artists from companies such as the Kirov Ballet, Bayerisches Staatsballett and Nederlands Dans Theater, performing Adagio Hammerklavier, Simple Things, Trois Gnossiennes, and 5 Tangos.

During this gala event, internationally renowned ballerinas Uliana Lopatkina, Lucia Lacarra and the brightest stars of Dutch dance including Larissa Lezhnina of Dutch National Ballet and Roger van der Poel of Nederlands Dans Theater, performed at Het Muziektheater, Amsterdam, in the presence of HRH Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands and HRH Princess Maxima.
